The Sales Manager role reports into the Commercial Sustainability Director located in Redmond WA.

Key Targets of the Role

This position will be responsible for managing sales team in promoting cement, Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCMs) and sustainability solutions in WA/OR states. The successful candidate will provide leadership for promotion, customer service, sustainability expertise and technical support in the Oregon and Washington area in construction projects utilizing cement-based products. The candidate will also be responsible for working with various industry stakeholders and associations to promote the increased use of cement and cementitious related products with sustainability benefits as it relates to Lehigh’s path to carbon neutrality

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans, programs, budgets and strategies in alignment with overall objectives

  • Provide technical assistance and sustainability support to customers

  • Compile market intelligence and identify potential projects

  • Review and recommend product pricing, market placement and new product launches based on customer needs

  • Analyze market trends and segment data to maximize strategic market opportunities

  • Maintain involvement in industry associations as a company representative and deliver effective presentations to various stakeholders

  • Target and acquire new strategic accounts by calling on various customers in that geographic area

  • Strengthen and grow existing customer relationships

  • Guide sales team in managing customer relations by understanding their needs to create value propositions as it aligns with Lehigh’s strategic objectives and sustainability targets

  • Focus on customer’s needs to create reliable short- and long-term volume forecast

Essential Experience and Skills

  • At least 7 years of construction materials experience preferably in cement or concrete industry.

  • At least 5 years of proven, successful sales experience

  • Demonstrated team leadership skills

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management and critical thinking

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or at least 7 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • At least 3 years supervising others

  • 5 years in a management role
