The Ready-Mix Dispatcher role is based in Redmond, Washington and reports directly to the Dispatch Supervisor.

What you’ll get to do

  • Receive customer orders and schedule deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction and transportation efficiencies.

  • Batch concrete loads according to mix design specifications.

  • Ensure quality product and timely deliveries to our customers with while focusing upon the company’s financial and productivity objectives.

  • Assist in responding to sales and customer requests, while enhancing customer satisfaction and public relations while fulfilling duties of the job.

  • Day-to-day dispatching of multiple concrete trucks from multiple locations.

  • Assist in implementing the company’s value-added product strategy.

  • Provide on-job customer support and directing of drivers, as well as miscellaneous projects and assignments.

  • Promote safe work habits and provide safe working conditions.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Highly computer literate, proficient with MS Office, databases, and proprietary systems.

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated customer service experience, preferably in a Ready- Mix or Aggregate related industry.

  • Experience in resolving problems and dealing with difficult situations while remaining calm.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced mental environment with capacity to multi-task.

  • Track record of continuous process improvement.

  • Punctuality, attendance, and dependability is absolutely essential in this role, with the ability and motivation to work some Saturdays, closing shifts and occasional demands of midnight, or early morning -shifts for large concrete pours.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Associated degree or greater education

  • Experience Dispatching high volume of commodities through software program a big plus.

  • Sales or customer focused experience

  • Ready Mix concrete business or related industry experience a big plus.

  • Knowledge of Command Data System, Trimble, and TrimView Truck Tracking not required, however a plus.

Work Environment

At this time, the role allows for hybrid or in office work in a professional office environment. This subject to change, and all employees must be available to work in our Redmond, WA office. You may also be asked to conduct business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
