Using your expertise as a Process Engineer is a challenging role that enables you to be a critical thinker while enabling the plant to produce a quality product each day. This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for the performance optimization of our main production process such as pyro-processing, raw, coal and finish grinding.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the key production processes

  • Review and analyze operational data to evaluate and recommend changes for efficient and continuous operation

  • Lead daily consultation with the Kiln Engineers and Managers as well as Shift Supervisors to discuss and evaluate process performance

  • Facilitate operational approach to ensure production goals are met daily, including the attention to product inventory and the importance of meeting these targets

  • Advise Management and Operations Staff of necessary adjustments and changes to protocols and SOPs

  • Participate in and/or lead plant audits

  • Conduct and/or participate in root cause analysis

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of pyro-processing, mill and grinding systems

  • Strict attention to maintaining the quality of the product, work directly with the lab supervision to generate and execute protocols that protect the consistency and overall quality of our product

  • Participate in the Department on call schedule

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, CAPEX Support and training Plant Employees

This position will be based at Picton, ON, Canada.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Mining engineering would be preferred

  • Prior manufacturing exposure and automation experience are a plus

  • Willingness to travel to other locations during training program

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with 24-hour operations
